Carolina Behavioral Care Centers offers on-site pharmacy services at our Pinehurst and Durham locations. We have Good Neighbor pharmacies at these sites and service all of the prescription needs of our patients. We accept prescriptions from any provider in the community and all major prescription plans including Medicare Part D.
The pharmacies are staffed with fully licensed pharmacists who collaborate with our prescribers to get you the best quality and priced medications filled before you leave the clinic. We also handle all pre-certification needs at the pharmacy so there are no issues with getting your medications in a timely fashion.
On site pharmacy services also helps our prescribers with medication refills, which ensures that you have no interruption in your medication needs. At Carolina Behavioral Care, medication information is shared between the pharmacy system and the clinic’s electronic health record (EHR). Therefore, when a refill is needed, the pharmacist alerts the prescriber to generate a new prescription. This has a significant impact on your health by improving adherence, and compliance. It is well known that prescription adherence has a significant impact on reducing the need for unnecessary office visits, emergency room visits, and hospital admissions.
