Ms. Osborne holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UNC Chapel Hill. Her course of study also included a second major in management and society. While at UNC, she worked at the Orange County Rape Crisis Center answering 24-hour crisis lines and making hospital visits as an advocate for victims of sexual assault. After being an advocate, she wanted to do more to help those in need.

She had three five-month, part-time internships. These included working with women/mothers, pregnant women and men in residential treatment facilities providing individual therapy, Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment, and Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Treatment.

Upon graduation and licensure, Ms. Osborne continued working for PORT Human Services in the Jacksonville, N.C., location for nine months, working with persons on an outpatient basis. Subsequently, she worked at Delta Behavioral Health and was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. As a facility programs therapist for the Partial Hospital Program, Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program, and the Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program, she conducted intakes, facilitated DBT skills group, and provided individual therapy, case management and crisis interventions. In 2017, Ms. Osborne returned to her hometown of Durham, N.C., and has worked with Carolina Behavioral Care as an outpatient psychotherapist since 2017.

She has received post-graduate training from Behavioral Tech.
