HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Dr. Fox enjoys spending time with his family which includes his wife, grandchildren and extended relatives, most of whom live in the Carolinas. He spends a lot of time playing tennis in local leagues, fitness training, doing yard work and enjoying outdoor activities.

TRAINING AND CREDENTIALS
Olin Fox, MD, holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a medical degree from the UNC School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatric residency training at Hershey Medical Center in 1986 and was certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1988.
AREAS OF CLINICAL INTEREST
Dr. Fox's psychiatric career has focused on providing outpatient care for adults of all ages. He has a special interest in treating major depression, bipolar disorder and substance abuse, but he is fully qualified to treat adult patients with any psychiatric disorder including the full range of anxiety, mood, psychotic, attention deficit and post traumatic stress. Through his past experience as an active duty psychiatrist in the U.S. Air Force, he has an interest in treating veterans and their families.
Prior to his move to North Carolina in 2009, Dr. Fox maintained a busy practice in Pennsylvania, treating both outpatients and hospitalized inpatients for more than 20 years. During that time, he treated patients with a variety of issues including but not limited to anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, bipolar disorder, adult attention deficit disorder, and dual-diagnosis substance abuse.
