AREAS OF CLINICAL INTEREST

Heriberto Sierra is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He has been working in the mental health field since 2010. He graduated from Gannon University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He went to St. Luke’s school of Nursing to receive his diploma in nursing in 2006 and Moravian College where he received his bachelor’s degree in 2012. He practiced as a registered nurse in a medical-surgical unit, oncology unit, and ICU unit at St. Luke’s hospital in Pennsylvania and Mercy hospital of Philadelphia. He then went on to practice as a psychiatric nurse at Central Regional Hospital in Butner, NC, UNC in Chapel Hill, and Wake Med in Raleigh, NC where he has taken care of patients ranging from children and adolescents to the elderly. He became a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner after finishing his master’s degree at Frontier Nursing University in 2021. He became employed at Carolina Behavioral Care in 2022.

Mr. Sierra is originally from Pennsylvania and is now making his residence in North Carolina since 2013.

Areas of Clinical Interest
Mr. Sierra’s clinical interests include treating psychiatric and substance abuse patients across the life spectrum. His clinical practice includes psychopharmacology and psychotherapy services. He treats his patients with a holistic approach including dealing with nutrition, exercise, sleep, and strategies to reduce tension and stress in order to improve overall mental and psychiatric health conditions.

Hobbies and Interest
Spending as much time as possible with wife and family, traveling, weight lifting, going out to eat, and enjoying live music and the theater.
