Robert and his wife hail from East Tennessee. Robert enjoys college football, music, history, traveling, outdoor activities and hopes to one day have several dogs (rescued ones).

TRAINING AND CREDENTIALS
In 1997, Robert E. DeLozier III MSN, PMHNP-BC, received his undergraduate degree from The University of Tennessee- Knoxville, in Organismal and Systems Biology. He then received his master’s degree in secondary science education and taught high school biology, environmental science, and physical science for several years. While teaching, Robert recognized the overwhelming need for psychiatric and social/counseling care among all walks of society. In 2010, Robert began working at a dual diagnosis treatment center with the goal of determining if he was more interested in the psychiatric or social work aspect of patient care. While working there, Robert was involved with patient education, case management, counseling, and he gained immense knowledge concerning many psychiatric disorders. He found himself fascinated with psychiatry and this led him to return to school to pursue a career as a mental health provider. In 2015, Robert received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Lincoln Memorial University, and having passed the national exam, Robert was then a registered nurse. The year 2017 was an especially busy year for Robert! He earned his master’s degree in nursing with a concentration on psychiatric mental health from Lincoln Memorial University, became board certified and was ready to begin his new role as psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Later in 2017, Robert moved to North Carolina, where he first began practicing at a busy outpatient psychiatric clinic in Gastonia, N C. During this time, Robert received his waiver to provide medication assisted therapy (MAT) for opioid addiction. Robert was also on weekend call for Crisis Stabilization Units in Gastonia and Shelby, NC.
AREAS OF CLINICAL INTEREST
Robert’s interests include pharmacological treatments for substance abuse disorders, treatment resistant depression, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children and adults. Robert enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. He has a strong passion for helping people achieve their goals and live happy, productive more fulfilling lives.
